Sir Winston Churchill is a charming variety with loose clusters of creamy white, double flowers which are each flecked with orange. The slightly ruffled appearance of these double flowers is enchanting, and they have a sweet perfume too, so are ideal for adding to freshly cut bouquets
- Planting location: Suitable for beds, borders, containers or naturalising
- Soil moisture: Well drained, Soil pH: Neutral
- Flowering period: March-April, Planting period: Aug-Dec
- Dig soil improver and bone meal into the planting hole before planting. In heavy clay soils add horticultural grit to the bottom of the planting hole Top dress with a general purpose plant food as the last flowers fade. Allow foliage to die down naturally. Flowering results improve each year
