Tulip purple prince has wonderful purple flowers, which have a lilac flush on the outer edges of the petals. They open as they mature to reveal a dark interior with a golden yellow eye. Held on stout stems above the grey green foliage, they hold up well in poor weather conditions and make excellent cut flowers. Combine well with tulip queen of night and tulip clearwater

- Dig soil improver and bone meal into the planting hole before planting. In heavy clay soils add horticultural grit to the bottom of the planting hole Top dress with a general purpose plant food as the last flowers fade. Allow foliage to die down naturally. Flowering results improve each year
