Pipe Boot with Steel Adjustable Hose Clip

Description

Purpose: EPDM pipe boots are designed to form a watertight barrier around pipes or drains that penetrate the roof deck, ensuring a secure and leak-free connection.

Instructions for Fitting

1. Once the roofing membrane is in place, position the pipe boot over the pipe or drain. Trim the boot to the needed diameter if necessary.
2. Trace on the membrane where you need to apply the rubber primer for the boot.
3. Take off the boot and apply the rubber primer in the marked area.
4. Allow the primer to dry until it’s just tacky, and then reposition the pipe boot over the pipe, ensuring it sits well on the roof membrane.
5. Use a seam roller to firmly press and seal the joint between the boot and the membrane.
6. Gently peel back the top part of the boot and apply water cut-off mastic around the circumference of the pipe.
7. Fold the top of the boot back into place over the mastic, and secure it with a hose clip, tightening it with a screwdriver.
