- Period for use – March to October
- Instructions for use: Get your timing right An increase in the soil temperature increases the speed. As a general rule of thumb the best months to sow seed mixtures in the UK are April, May, June, late August and September. July and August are fine with regards to soil temperature but can be dry months; that said if you have irrigation, or are happy to wait for rain then July and August can be good months to sow seed. Once rain falls, germination can be very rapid indeed and let’s face it we live in the UK, it could rain anytime and frequently does.

This speciality mix of herbs contains high levels of minerals such as Calcium, Magnesium, Phosphorus and Potassium which can benefit the improvement of bone structure particularly in growing animals. As a supremely palatable mix this can also improve horses grazing habits and reduce the need for mineral supplements. It is characteristically deep rooting benefiting both drainage, soil structure and natural porosity. Key Species in this mix: • Yarrow – A highly nutritious and medicinal herb with a deep root system well suited to grazing livestock • Burnet – A good addition to grazing mixtures. A mineral rich herb that helps to improve drainage • Sheeps Parsley – A herb rich in Iron and vitamins that aids drainage and general soil quality • Chicory – High in Protein and minerals this is also effective in improving drainage ablities. • Ribwort Plantain – A high Protein herb rich in minerals with the benefit of improving drainage and soil quality • NB – This is a Herbal Mix only and contains no grasses.
