Product information
Carex muskingumensis, commonly known as Palm Sedge, is a clump-forming perennial with broad, arching green leaves that create a striking, fan-like effect. It produces inconspicuous greenish-brown flower spikes in summer that rise slightly above the foliage, adding subtle texture rather than showy blooms. This species is highly valued for wetland biodiversity, providing cover for small wildlife and stabilising pond margins and damp soils. Its upright, dense habit and tolerance of consistently moist conditions make it ideal for pond edges, wet meadows, and naturalistic water garden schemes.
